Samagri (What You'll Need)
- Fresh flowers
- Fruits
- Milk
- Honey
- Ghee
- Incense sticks
- Diya (lamp)
- Rice
Steps
- Clean the puja area and set up an altar.
- Place a picture or idol of Lord Shiva on the altar.
- Light the diya and incense sticks.
- Offer fresh flowers to Lord Shiva.
- Perform the aavahanam (invocation) by inviting Lord Shiva.
- Offer milk, honey, and ghee to the deity.
- Chant the mantras dedicated to Lord Shiva.
- Offer fruits as prasad.
- Conclude the puja with aarti (waving of light).
- Distribute prasad among family members.
