📖About This Temple

Chandi Devi Temple is a revered Hindu temple located in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, dedicated to Goddess Chandi Devi. Perched atop Neel Parvat on the Eastern summit of the Sivalik Hills, this temple holds significant spiritual importance for devotees.

It is known as Neel Parvat Teerth and is one of the Panch Tirth, a group of five sacred pilgrimage sites in Haridwar. The temple attracts numerous pilgrims and visitors who come to seek blessings and experience the serene atmosphere amidst the majestic Himalayan backdrop.

🏛️History & Significance

The temple's main murti of Chandi Devi is believed to have been installed in the 8th century by the revered saint Adi Shankaracharya. Although the current structure was built in 1929 by Suchat Singh during his reign as the King of Kashmir, the site has long been a focal point for local worship and devotion, drawing countless visitors over the centuries.
