Rani Didda of Kashmir ruled for 50 years with absolute authority — in the 10th century. Born with a physical disability. She outlived her husband, her son, and every political opponent. She ruled Kashmiri politics from 958 to 1003 CE. She has been almost completely erased from Indian history books.
