यत्र नार्यस्तु पूज्यन्ते रमन्ते तत्र देवताः।
यत्रैतास्तु न पूज्यन्ते सर्वास्तत्राफलाः क्रियाः॥
જ્યાં મહિલાઓનો સન્માન થાય છે, ત્યાં દેવતાઓ આનંદિત થાય છે. જ્યાં તેમને સન્માન નથી મળતું, ત્યાં તમામ ક્રિયાઓ અને પૂજાઓ નિષ્ફળ બની જાય છે — ભલે તે કેટલાય સારી રીતે કરવામાં આવે. — મનુસ્મૃતિ 3.56
