ಚೋಟಾ ಚಾರ್ ಧಾಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿದೆ, ಯಮುನಾ ನದಿಯ ಮೂಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಮುನಾ ದೇವಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿತವಾಗಿದೆ, ಬಂಡರ್ಪುಂಚ್ ಶಿಖರಗಳ ಹತ್ತಿರ ನಡೆಯುವ ಮೂಲಕ ತಲುಪಬಹುದು.

ಮಹಾರಾಜಾ ಪ್ರತಾಪ್ ಶಾಹ್ ತಿಹರಿ ಗಡ್ವಾಲ್ ಅವರಿಂದ ಮೂಲ ದೇವಾಲಯ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಕಟ್ಟಡವು ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಅಂಶಗಳಿಂದ ಹಾನಿಯಾಗಿದ ನಂತರ ಪುನಃ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
