नैनं छिन्दन्ति शस्त्राणि नैनं दहति पावकः।
न चैनं क्लेदयन्त्यापो न शोषयति मारुतः॥
आत्मा कोणत्याही शस्त्राने कापला जात नाही, आगाने जळत नाही, पाण्याने ओलसर होत नाही, किंवा वाऱ्याने कोरडा होत नाही. तो शाश्वत, सर्वव्यापी, अपरिवर्तनीय, अचल, आणि सदैव एकसारखा राहतो. — भगवद गीता 2.23
