आत्मा कधीही जन्म घेत नाही.

न जायते म्रियते वा कदाचित् नायं भूत्वा भविता वा न भूयः।
अजो नित्यः शाश्वतोऽयं पुराणो न हन्यते हन्यमाने शरीरे॥
आत्मा कधीही जन्म घेत नाही. तो कधीही मरत नाही. तो अस्तित्वात आलेला नाही, अस्तित्वात येत नाही आणि अस्तित्वात येणार नाही. तो जन्माला न आलेला, शाश्वत, सदैव अस्तित्वात असलेला आणि आदिम आहे. शरीराचा अंत झाल्यावर तो मारला जात नाही. — गीता 2.20
