இறைவன் அய்யப்பாவுக்கு அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு முக்கிய pilgrimage இடம், பெரியார் பாதுகாப்பு பகுதியில் ஒரு காட்டில் மலை கோவிலில் அமைந்துள்ளது.

பக்தர்கள் பாரம்பரியமாக 41 நாள் விரதத்தை (விரதம்) கடைப்பிடிக்கிறார்கள், இது நூற்றாண்டுகளுக்கு பழமையான நடைமுறையாகக் கருதப்படுகிறது.
