చోటా చార్ ధామ్‌లలో ఒకటి, భగీరథి నది (గంగా యొక్క మూల ప్రవాహం) గంగోత్రి హిమనదీ నుండి దిగువకు వచ్చే స్థలాన్ని సూచిస్తుంది.

18వ శతాబ్దం ప్రారంభంలో గోర్కా జనరల్ అమర్ సింగ్ థాపా నిర్మించారు; ముఖ్యంగా వేసవి నెలలలో ఒక ప్రధాన పుణ్యక్షేత్రం.
