Sources and calculations

Daily guidance is more useful when you can see where it came from, which date and place it describes, and whether an explanation matches the current source.

This policy is currently shown in English while its reviewed translation is prepared.

Panchang and auspicious timings

Panchang changes by date, location and timezone. Every result should display the active city and date. Sanathan resolves the day in India Standard Time for daily publishing and uses the location assigned to the selected language until a visitor chooses another location.

Zodiac forecasts

Daily, weekly and yearly zodiac forecasts are general readings for a sign. They are separate from a person’s own check-ins and from a birth-chart reading. Journey directions compare two recent seven-day windows only when each has enough source readings; they are an application comparison rule, not a probability or clinical measure.

Explanations and generated summaries

Source forecasts are stored before an explanation is generated. Each stored explanation carries its source dates, source hash, language and prompt version. If those inputs change, the old explanation must not be attached to the new result.

Scripture, mantra and practice content

Pages should identify the work, chapter, verse, tradition or editorial source when available. Transliteration and plain-language meaning are aids to learning; they do not replace study with a qualified teacher where precision matters.

Availability and fallbacks

Sanathan serves reusable daily JSON through its content delivery layer and keeps a database copy for recovery. When localized content is unavailable, the interface discloses an English fallback. Missing data is shown as missing; we do not create a historical reading to fill a gap.
